Beth Meurer - Director 

With over 30 years as a performer in musical theatre, opera, and Rock and Roll under her belt, Beth is thrilled to be in the position of passing on her passion for music and musical theatre.  Still a student herself Beth studies opera with the renowned teacher and coach Mark Forest.   Beth began Rising Star on a dream and a song and it has taken on a life of its own and it is singing!   Beth's musical career began when she was a child and she lived a musical dream performing for live audiences all over the country for over 20 years in Rock bands.  She now studies opera and intends to start a small opera company alongside Rising Star.

Rob Meurer - Musical Director

Rob brings a level of professionalism to Rising Star that cannot be paralleled.   He is a composer, lyricist, musical theatre writer and performer.  The next production that Rising Star will perform in the Spring of 2008 will be a show that Rob co-wrote with one of his many collaborators, Berton Averre, who is an amazingly talented writer, composer, and performer in his own right.  Rob performed, wrote, produced many albums with Christopher Cross and many others over the last 30 years.   

Palmer Davis - Choreographer

Palmer is a phenomenally talented choreographer & entertainer who has a true passion for sharing what she knows.   Palmer is currently performing in the one-woman show that she wrote at T.U. Studios in North Hollywood.   This is a show everyone should see and then tell 10 friends.  Palmer brings to Rising Star her unique ability to create a professional dance group out of kids who have never danced!   Palmer has many TV, movie, and theatrical credits including being a Rockette!

Stephanie Arnold - Stage Manager

Stephanie is our detail person.   If there is ever anything you need to know about any aspect of our production, Stephanie knows.   Rising Star is lucky to have a stage manager who is so focused and organized.   Stephanie is an artist, mother, and teacher who homeschools her four children and still finds time to keep Rising Star pulled together.

Donna Mae Pitluck -  Donna Mae is a retired Librarian and long time supporter of the arts.   She has been devoted to helping Rising Star grow and is currently researching possible grant opportunities.

Jayne Hamil - Jayne is a writer and devoted supporter of musical theatre as her husband is a musical theatre writer.  She is happy to be a part of our growing family and always coming up with new ideas for growth.

Xiao Behlendorf - Xiao is a Librarian at Los Angeles Valley College and the mother of William and Alex Behlendorf, two of our talented cast members.  Over the last year Xiao has always been a supporter and idea person who is always ready to help out in any way possible.
